Three young sisters have been found dead after going to visit their dad, who is now wanted for murder.

The bodies of Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia Decker – aged nine, eight and five – were discovered near their dad Travis’s truck near a campground in Washington state late yesterday.

They were reported missing on Friday by their mother, Whitney, after they failed to return home from a planned visitation.

He had picked up his daughters in his truck, which was later seen in western Leavenworth, 18 miles from where their bodies were found in Wenatchee.

Shortly after cancelling an Amber alert that had been issued for the girls, police said in a statement: ‘The Wenatchee Police Department is saddened to report the three missing girls have been found deceased.

‘We want to express our sincere and deep heartfelt condolences to the family at this time.

A search is underway for three young girls who were last seen leaving home with their father for a planned visitation. On Friday, May 30, at approximately 5 p.m. local time, Paityn Decker, 9, Evelyn Decker, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5, headed out with their dad, Travis Decker, the Wenatchee Police Department said in a Facebook post. They haven't been seen or heard from since. Officers said that Travis Decker "is homeless and living in his vehicle or at various hotels/motels or at campgrounds in the area." "The visitation was part of a parenting plan, but he has since gone outside the parameters of it which is not normal and cause for the alarm," the post continued. An endangered missing person alert (EMPA) has been issued through the Washington State Patrol (WSP), police said.

A manhunt is now underway for Travis Decker who is homeless, living in his vehicle or various hotels and motels around the Rock Island Campground.

Decker, who has a military background and extensive training, is wanted for first-degree murder and kidnapping. Police warn anyone who sees him not to approach but to call 911.

Hours before the girls’ bodies were found, their mother told local TV channels: ‘I am concerned about the safety and wellbeing of my girls and their dad. This is an unimaginable situation.

‘Travis has really struggled since he left the military and his mental health can be hard sometimes. I think that he is impulsive and he loves his children very much.’

The police department added that it is ‘committed to working diligently to bring closure to this case’.
