Before landing her reality TV show, My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney Thore became a viral video star. This video was called “A Fat Girl Dancing”. After that video, news stations asked her to be on their shows, and she find fame as a plus-size dance sensation.

However, been before that video breakout moment, Whitney had a pretty interesting life. Before starring in My Big Fat Fabulous Life, she studied theater at Appalachian State University. After her graduation, she went to Korea and taught English.

Before going to South Korea and even before getting out of high school, Whitney Thore wasn’t a stranger to entertaining people. In 2000, she was accepted into a special program. This program offered a theater summer enrichment program.

Whitney met most of her friends the viewers see on My Big Fat Fabulous Life in the theater. She always wanted to be an entertainer. And some people believe her TLC show is scripted and purely for entertainment. And she admits TV is her job now…
