Mother ‘bought wine and milk’ before vanishing as police divers scour lakes

A missing mother was last seen buying a bottle of wine and milk from a petrol station before vanishing in the early hours.
Rachel Booth, 38, was last seen in the Barnton area of Northwich yesterday around 3.50 am.
CCTV captured her near the Sandiway Garage on the A556 around 3.50 am. She is described as 5’ 9” tall, of a slim build, with blonde hair, and is believed to be wearing black leggings and a black top.
Issac Carolan, 19, who works at the garage, told The Sun: ‘I spoke to my colleague who had served her on Saturday morning.
‘She bought milk and wine and jogged from 45 minutes away.’
He added: ‘But it didn’t seem weird, she didn’t seem disturbed or flustered.’
The shop refused to comment when Metro approached them.
Police have said underwater search teams are now assisting in searching for her.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: ‘As part of enquiries for missing Northwich woman Rachel Booth, officers are currently conducting enquiries in Oakmere and the surrounding area.
‘We are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare. We would also like to appeal to Rachel directly to get in touch to let us know you are OK.’

Inspector James Wilson said: ‘We are currently conducting a number of enquiries to trace Rachel, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
‘Anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts.’
Nearby water sports centre, Wild Shore Delamere, announced they would shut down to help the investigation.
‘We are really sorry but there has been an incident in the area and the police have requested that we close the site to aid their investigation,’ they wrote.
