Trump’s ‘ICE Barbie’ hospitalized after returning from LA protests

President Donald Trump’s homeland security secretary dubbed ‘ICE Barbie’ was hospitalized due to an allergic reaction.
Kristi Noem, 53, was taken to a hospital in Washington, DC, ‘out of an abundance of caution’ on Tuesday, according to her Department of Homeland Security.
‘Secretary Noem had an allergic reaction today,’ stated Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
‘She is alert and recovering.’

What type of allergic reaction Noem suffered and how it happened was not immediately known.
Several Secret Service agents stood outside the hospital emergency room, CNN reported.
Noem requested an ambulance and was taken in one, according to the news outlet.
She returned to DC after holding a press conference in Los Angeles last week to address protests against the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the California city.

Noem defended US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials and has carried out Trump’s hardline immigration agenda.
‘We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city,’ said Noem during her conference at the Federal Building in LA.
She was interrupted during her conference on Thursday by Democratic Senator Alex Padilla. Padilla was forcefully removed from the room and handcuffed after screaming, ‘I have questions for the secretary!’
Padilla later said, ‘If that is what the administration is willing to do to a United States senator for having the authority to simply ask a question imagine that they’ll do to any American who dares speak up.’

Those are not the only incidents Noem has faced lately.
On Easter Sunday, Noem’s Gucci handbag with $3,000 in cash inside was snatched by a thief from where she left it next to her feet at Capital Burger in DC. Police arrested Mario Bustamante Leiva, 49, after he allegedly spent $205.87 at an Italian restaurant on food and drinks charging one of Noem’s credit cards.
Noem also oversees the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
